Our Core Beliefs
About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has revealed Himself in nature, and in the Bible as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: yet as one God.

About JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to convict mankind of sin and make them aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

The bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error.

About Humanity
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life.

About Salvation
God desires the salvation of all. Man receives pardon and forgiveness for his sins when he admits to God that he is a sinner, when in godly sorrow he turns from sin and trusts in the work of Jesus as redemption for his sin. This acceptance of God’s great salvation involves belief in Christ’s death on the cross as man’s substitute and the fact of God’s raising Jesus from the dead as predicted. It is salvation by grace alone and not by good deeds, or works.

About Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through His forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

About Baptism
Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus.

THE LOCAL CHURCH
We believe the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of believers on mission to advance God's good in the world. We believe in local church autonomy, that is that churches are self-governing. The local church is the highest authority in the denomination. Local churches voluntarily organize themselves into quarterly meetings, district, state, and national associations for the purpose of promoting the cause of Christ on the local, state, district, national, and world-wide level. We believe in the significance of the church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together.
